North American Aboriginals used Fir resin for medicinal and religious purposes. Fir needle essential oil has a piney, forest-like, fresh aroma. The needles are flat, soft, and serve as the ‘leaves’ of the fir tree, which is where the important compounds and active ingredients are housed.

Cautions: Dilute before use; for external use only. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided. This product should not be used by anyone who has broken, irritated or sensitive skin. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or under the care of a medical practitioner unless advised by your doctor. 

For occasional use only up to one time per day. Use in aromatherapy or dilute:

1% = 1 drop per teaspoon of carrier oil (5 ml) or 5-6 drops per ounce.
