Vanilla Oleoresin (10 Fold) - 5 ml and 15 ml

Not to be confused with an Essential Oil which is obtained by steam distillation, Oleoresins involve the extraction from it's plant source (in this case, from the bean) representing the complete flavour profile of the bean and guarantees superior quality of flavour and aroma.

Vanilla is the second-most expensive spice after saffron due to the fact that growing the vanilla seed pods is labor-intensive. Because there are few natural pollinators in the wild, each flower must be hand-pollinated within 12 hours of the blossom opening or the blossoms wilt and fall. Harvesting is as labour intensive as pollinating; each fruit ripens at its own time, requiring a daily harvest.

After harvest, the immature vanilla pod or bean is fermented and dried to turn it into a fragrant brown vanilla bean. This Vanilla Oleoresin 10-fold is the superior bourbon variety and is dark brown with a thick, rich texture; that it is 10 fold relates to its concentration. 

Despite the expense, vanilla is highly valued for its flavor. As a result, vanilla is widely used in both commercial and domestic baking, perfume manufacture, and aromatherapy.

Because it’s highly concentrated; only 1 drop is needed for a massage blend, or in a diffuser.

Vanilla 10 Fold is soluble in ethanol only. It is immiscible in water and oil.
