Cassia is a powerful essential oil that can aid with a variety of health issues but because of it high content of cinnamaldehyde it can be irritating to the skin and is not recommended to use topically.  Below are some of the benefits of this essential oil:

    Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength of Aroma: A warm scent due to its 1% to 2% volatile oil, which is mainly responsible for the spicy aroma that is similar to Cinnamon. It is a strong top note.

    Blends With: Benzoin, Cardamom, Clove Bud, Coriander, Frankincense, Grapefruit, Lavender, Rosemary, and Thyme.

    Shelf Life: 3 Years. Shelf life can be extended with proper storage. Store in a cool, dark place or refrigerate.


    Cautions: For external use only. Not recommended for topical use. May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided. This product should not be used by anyone who has broken, irritated or sensitive skin. AVOID use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you are on Diabetes medication, have peptic ulcer, or under the care of a medical practitioner unless advised by your doctor. 

    If using for insect repellent, dilute and spray on clothing.

    This oil MAY inhibit blood clotting; consult your physician prior to use if you are being treated for the following:

    • you are on blood thinners, such as coumadin (warfarin)
    • you have hemophilia or other bleeding disorders
    • you are prone to bloody noses
    • you are going to have surgery

    For occasional use only up to one time per day. Not recommended for topical use.
